First, let me preface by saying I am a homeowner and use this saw attachment for my personal use and not in any commercial applications. I read all the reveiws and figured that if it were as bad as people here say it is, then I would just take it back for a refund; no harm, no foul. Now, maybe it’s just me, but I found adjustment to be pretty straight forward. Yes, it took a little time to do, but it was a fun activity to play with as I set it up. There’s a great video on DeWalt’s site to show even the uneducated (read; contractor) how to do this RIGHT, although the manual was as helpful and accurate as any manual I’ve ever read to set up something like this. Really folks; if you have trouble getting this laser to work right, you probably shouldn’t be playing with the likes of a miter saw, or any power tool for that matter, to begin with. It’s not rocket science and with a few adjustments, it’s pretty easy to see what does what. After about 10 minutes playing with it, I deliberately messed up the settings to see how fast I could get it set up true again. Less than a minute. Yes, it’s that easy. If you think about what’s happening with the light beam, it’s gonna be easy to set up. I even tried to bang my saw around and could not get it to come uncalibrated.
In my opinion, use this accessory to see if you are safe enough to use the saw without hurting yourself. If you can’t set this devise up successfully, find someone else to make your cuts for you before you chop off a finger or worse.

I bought this as a starter kit as my last jigsaw was stolen with all the blades. It’s okay and I like the case, although there are blades that I’ll never use. It would be nice if they had a kit specific for installers such as ‘trim carpenters’ or ’tile & plumbing’, but that would mean not being able to sluff off unneeded blades for extra cost. Still, its okay for the price.

Great pruning blades for your reciprocating saw and the price is hard to beat. Walk into a Home Depot or a Lowes and compare the price found here on Amazon… Less than $3 per blade on Amazon while $5.40 at Home Depot per blade when you add the tax and that doesn’t include the cost of gas to drive down to Home Depot. A great value for the money.

Customer Review: Great Product but be careful…..
Just a warning. I recieved my Dewalt Blades today. The mail lady went to hand me the box, and a blade dropped right out of the box and landed tip down onto my deck, and stuck. So my advice for Amazon is to package any sharp object differently. When I opened the box, the entire blade set was underneath the bottom flap of the box. It was a good thing more blades didnt come out or get lost for that matter, and most importantly that when the one did come out, no one got hurt.

Customer Review: Great saw
As a professional carpenter I have used and owned almost every saw out there. I never have cared too much for a brake on a 7 1/4 saw. This is a really tough saw that can handle contractor daily use.
When I used to work for someone hourly before I started my own trim carpentry business I had a few jobs over the years and everyone I worked for or with had one of these.
I would reccomend it to anyone who has experience with a circular saw. It is a bit on the powerful side for someone with no experience in my opinion. The saw is powerful enough to produce a strong kickback.
