Porter-Cable 9750 Tiger Saw 11.5 Amp Reciprocating Saw with Variable Angle Customer Review: A Boss Machine
This a awesome machine lots power! With the two swivels heads it can get into some tight spots! Fast shipping too !
Customer Review: Cool features - Didn’t last
This will definely get in those tight places that other sawzalls won’t. I got mine at HD for $99. They had it for months at that price but no more (this was several years ago). Anyway, I have only used it to remodel one house, not heavy usage by any means. Recently, the gearing tore up inside and it stopped reciprocating. I took it apart and it would be a simple part to replace but I have looked and looked at online parts sites and cannot find it. I have had to get parts for other Porter Cable tools so I know they are out there. It just burns me up to scrap a $200 saw for the lack of a $20 part. Porter Cable’s site is a joke. No help for parts there. Hope you never have to look on their site for parts or service. Another reviewer said that this is jerky. That is true, too. It will jerk you around and is tiring using for long. I have a lot of different brands of tools (Delta, Makita, Bosch, Ridgid) and Porter Cable is the only brand I have ever had to get replacement parts for, other than maintenance type things. I liked the saw all in all and would buy another for $99, but for $216, I’ll pass. It didn’t last long enough and like the other guy said, it’s nice to have for those few times when you need the variable angle but mostly a cheaper, regular sawzall will work better.

Milwaukee 6514-20 The Hatchet 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Reciprocating Saw with Pivoting Handle Anyone who has tried working with a Sawzall in cramped quarters and making cuts in confined spaces will appreciate the Hatchet’s multiposition folding handle, which reduces the tool’s length to a mere 13 inches. While this is a truly innovative design for a reciprocating saw, the fact that this is also the first cordless Sawzall with a vibration-reducing counterbalance mechanism should not be overlooked. This is a feature many of us have been waiting to see in the cordless Sawzall, and it is especially appreciated in uncomfortably close quarters, where any extra vibration and shock just makes your job more difficult. The Hatchet also has a different trigger configuration than other reciprocating saws. When the handle is folded, it feels like a cordless-drill grip and trigger, and when the saw is extended to its full length, it feels like the barrel grips found on grinders. This trigger setup is great when the handle is folded, but not as ideal when the tool is at its full length and being used like a traditional Sawzall. As with Milwaukee’s other Sawzalls, this one features the excellent tool-free blade-changing system that reverses the blade when needed, and it has a fully adjustable pivoting shoe. The Hatchet’s tough motor provides 2,700 strokes per minute, comparable to other top-of-the-line cordless reciprocating saws, and the tool uses the same reversible 18-volt Power Plus battery as other Milwaukee cordless tools. This model comes with the tool only, so if you don’t already use Milwaukee’s Power Plus tools, you’ll need to buy a battery separately. For remodelers, plumbers, and electricians, we think there’s no better cordless reciprocating saw available. –Brian Trinen
Customer Review: This is NOT a Sawzall!
Nobody every asks for a “reciprocating construction saw” — they ask for a Sawzall. Neglecting the fact that it’s a much more convenient term, you have to realize that the Milwaukee name has been synonymous with these tools for longer than I want to admit knowing about them, and I’ve *never* used one in a situation where the convenience of cordless operation would outweigh the need for a REAL power tool. Get a Sawzall, or if 11 amps isn’t good enough the 13-amp Super Sawzall . They’re famous for a reason. Cheaper too.

DEWALT DC4PAKA Heavy-Duty XRP 18V Cordless Hammerdrill/Circular Saw/Reciprocating Saw/Flexible Floodlight Combo Kit Here’s a convenient and economical way to get your hands on the four most popular cordless portable power tools: The DeWalt 18-Volt DC4PAKA Combo Kit includes a hammer drill-drill/driver, reciprocating saw, circular saw, and flexible floodlight. These extremely useful tools can handle most cutting, drilling and screw-driving jobs, regardless of whether you’re a handy homeowner or a professional contractor.

The 1/2-inch hammerdrill and drill/driver has a three-speed transmission and it can be used as a hammerdrill for boring holes in concrete, brick, and other masonry surfaces or as a standard drill for drilling and hole-sawing through woods and metals. It’s also equipped with a 22-position slip clutch for precise screw driving in soft and hard materials.

The 6-1/2-inch circular saw can crosscut 2-by lumber; it comes with a 16-tooth carbide-tipped blade. The recip saw has a tool-free blade clamp and enough power to cut through 80 two-by-fours on a fully charged battery. And, finally, there’s a cleverly designed worklight that has a super-bright light fitted onto a long flexible neck; you can bend and twist the neck in any direction to shine the light right where you need it.

The four-piece combo kit comes with two high-performance 18-volt nicad batteries, a one-hour charger and a soft-sided carrying case. — Joseph Truini
Customer Review: Dewalt 18V tool combo.
I bought this set a couple of years ago, and use all of the tools regularly. The first and foremost bit of advice is this: don’t compare these to corded tools. This should go without saying, but to set realistic expectations, battery-operated tools simply can’t perform at the level of (or for the duration of) their corded counterparts.

Customer Review: Great Sawzall !
I bought this item because I was impressed by the other V28 Milwaukee products. I now own the whole set. It always seems that this tool is being used where there is no power. IE: new builds or renovations where access to power is limited. The battery holds its charge much longer than any other battery powered tools I’ve owned. I’ve noted that some folks have complained that the saw doesn’t come with a battery. I have two batteries for all five of the V28 tools. With the extreme quick charge capability of these batteries, I’ve never been without a battery to keep going.

DEWALT DW4892 12 Piece Reciprocating Saw Blade Set With Case DeWalt 12pc Reciprocating Set with Case
Customer Review: Dewalt Saw Blades
Typical Dewalt quality product. I was disapointed to later find another Dewalt saw blade set with more blades at a cheaper price which did not come up when I did my original search.
Customer Review: Quality blades, and the case is a nice feature
I purchased this set of blades for use with my Milwaukee Sawzall and am very happy with my purchase. I am able to keep the case full of blades in my Sawzall tool case and keep everything neat and tidy. The large demolition blade did wonders for my first demolition job with it. The price is quite reasonable, especially when compared to trying to put together this selection of blades from single purchases.

DEWALT DC2PAKCA Heavy Duty XRP 18-Volt Cordless 2-Tool Combo Kit, includes Hammer Drill and Reciprocating Saw DeWALT’s version of cordless convenience sacrifices nothing in the way of speed and power, especially evident in these two tools.

First up is a hardworking brute of a hammerdrill that handles and balances beautifully and packs a patented three-speed transmission that gets you from 0 to 2,000 rpm in drill mode and 0 to 34,000 blows per minute in hammer mode. The half-inch Rohm chuck grabs the bit with carbide jaws and centers it quickly, then locks it in place with its ratcheting system. We were pleasantly surprised at how very little vibration is felt, even at max. The 360-degree handle is a nice feature that adds perfect control, and we found the fit and finish of the whole drill just superb.

The reciprocating saw has a great keyless blade clamp system that makes changing cutters a breeze, and it’s surprisingly powerful, with up to 3,000 strokes per minute. The blade travels 1-1/8 inch on each stroke, so you get aggressive cutting and more even blade wear. You can set the blade in four positions to help you reach whatever you’re cutting, and the depth adjustment couldn’t be easier: Just push a button and adjust the shoe. The grip feels really good in your hands and cuts vibration as well as offering great control.–Kris Jensen-Van Heste

What’s in the Box
Hammerdrill/drill/driver, reciprocating saw, one-hour charger, two batteries, 360-degree side handle, six-inch recip blade, heavy-duty kit box

Customer Review: Almost perfect
The Hammerdrill is very fast when drilling into concrete as compared to a the 18volt Panasonic or Hitachi. The drill has alot of torque for a cordless, which is great for drilling but horrible for putting screws into delicate projects, such as cabinets, and other furniture. The drill has better balance than the V28’s (which I also considered buying) and a better bit holder (the bits are enclosed and cannot snag on stuff). This drill is also very durable, it has fallen of the tops of ladders and a house on one occasion. The Sawzall has good power for cordless, however less than the V28 that I tried, but it makes up for it with the 4 position blade clamp which is really a nice feature (main reason I got the sawzall). However the mail reason that I bought this tool set is because of DeWALT’s extensive cordless tool line (more than 50 tools). The XRP batteries are old and heavy as opposed to the newer Lithiums, but atleast they are cheaper. The box itself is ok (when I got mine the hingle was bent, but I fixed it in a couple minutes). The only bad thing about this kit is that the clutch/selector has locked up on my drill, but this is probably because I hit a really big nail with an auger bit. Overall a great buy, I would Highly recommend this to any pro or serious DIYer
Customer Review: Smarter than the tools!
First of all these tools are awesome, I use dewalt tools daily and have seen them take more than their share of unreasonable abuse. The batteries tucker out after a while but that’s to be expected, some of the older ones in my shop are starting to show wear on the gears. But those are older models that have been severely beaten. Secondly I would like to review this genius’s review, the square peg goes in the square hole! Maybe you didn’t play that game when you were a kid. If you need an instruction manual for a drill, maybe you should start off by buying a helmet. People buy the reciprocating saw to cut different things, and when you buy quality tools, you aren’t going to get a variety pack of goodies for it. Just like anything you are going to have to buy the accesories seperately, or maybe they should start selling these with a pair of jeans and a tennis raquet?

Way less than at a local ACE store, been using 2 months a least once a week for 15-90 minutes and still on the first blade. Great for just tearing stuff up, but accurately. Super for thick abs plastic and metal pipes.
